A whole body experience considering the anatomy and architecture of our living form. In this workshop, we’ll explore yoga postures (asanas) through natural, intuitive movement, encouraging curiosity and personal discovery in your practice. We'll integrate current scientific understanding of the myofascial system into yoga, Pilates, and other movement disciplines. This isn’t about creating a new modality, but about applying modern research that shifts our perspective from the outdated, 400-year-old biomechanical view of anatomy to a more current, motion-based understanding of the body.

This workshop is open to everyone—whether you're a new or experienced yoga teacher, or just beginning your journey in yoga, Pilates, or other movement practices.

Introduction to Holistic Massage

Saturday 7 February 2026 | 10:30-5pm | £60

Are you interested in training to be a professional massage therapist and want to see if it’s the right path for you?

During the workshop you will learn the basics of holistic massage, including:

- Technique
- Anatomy
- Posture
- Listening skills
- Tips for how to massage without straining your body

We’ll also cover how to work with common aches including back and shoulder pain and how to massage at home without a massage couch. It also includes a few self-care tips for you.

I would highly recommend the course, it was just fantastic. The whole day was just so relaxed, well planned, great opportunities to have a go at massage. Jenny knows her stuff and it was well presented. She is absolutely lovely and very helpful with providing any further information thats needed. A great weekend. - Mandy, The Wirral

Underpinning it all is a holistic, intuitive approach to massage that includes the whole person and meets the other as they are on that day. It’s not about learning a routine, but about having tools in your kit that you can use to give an individual massage.

The course is highly practical and you’ll get plenty of chance to give and receive massage.

**If you book with a partner or friend you can work together. If you book alone be aware that you will need to practise with others in the group and you can work in whatever way whatever feels comfortable for you**

Workshop Tutor - Jenny Hampton has been a practising massage therapist for 13 years. She teaches a Level 4 Holistic Massage Diploma from her training school in Whitchurch. Jenny loves to see others discover their unique style in massage and find a passion for working with the body.

She says: "I love to share with others what I’ve learnt about how to help support people to let go of built up stress and tension, in a way that is kind on their body too. Finding ways to massage that can be sustained over a career is all important, so you can maintain that love and passion for what you do."
